Team Management

Manage your organization's team members, roles, and permissions from the Meterd dashboard.

Team management is handled entirely through the dashboard. There are no REST API endpoints for team operations.

Roles & permissions

Every team member is assigned exactly one role. Roles determine what a member can see and do within the organization.

RoleDescriptionPermissions

adminTrusted operatorSame as owner except cannot delete the organization or transfer ownership.
developerEngineer / integratorCreate and edit meters, view usage, manage API keys, and view customers. Cannot access billing or team settings.

Inviting members

To invite a new team member:

  • Navigate to Settings → Team in the dashboard.
  • Click Invite Member.
  • Enter the member's email address and select a role.
  • Click Send Invite.

The invitee receives an email with a link to accept. Pending invitations are visible in the Team settings page and can be revoked before acceptance.

Invite limits

The number of team members allowed depends on your plan. Check Settings → Plan for your current limit.

Changing roles

Owners and admins can change any member's role (except the owner's):

  • Go to Settings → Team.
  • Click the role badge next to the member's name.
  • Select a new role from the dropdown and confirm.

Role changes take effect immediately. The affected member's current session will reflect the new permissions on the next page load.

Removing members

To remove a team member:

  • Go to Settings → Team.
  • Click the overflow menu () next to the member's name.
  • Select Remove Member and confirm.

Removed members immediately lose access. Any API keys they personally created remain active and must be revoked separately if needed.
